Shanti Maurice is a five-star lifestyle boutique resort on the south coast of Mauritius. All 61 luxurious suites and villas impress with panoramic views directly over the Indian Ocean. The hotel enjoys a completely secluded setting, just minutes from the national park. One of the largest spas in the Indian Ocean — spanning 7,000 square metres with 25 treatment rooms — and a year-round yoga retreat ensure that those seeking relaxation are thoroughly rewarded. Golfers benefit from complimentary green fees at Avalon Golf Estate. On the beachfront, crystal-clear water and the house reef invite snorkelling and swimming. Daily open-air cinema, a comprehensive dine-around programme and 12 different dinner experiences provide the perfect close to a fulfilling day.
The youngest guests are looked after by trained staff at Les Petits Dodo Kids’ Club, set across more than 2,000 square metres with a large plunge pool, playground and indoor play, quiet and sleep areas. A varied weekly programme of activities caters to children from four months to twelve years (a charge applies for ages four months to three years). The kids’ club is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm. The concept was created by family specialists Scott Dunn.
